Day 1 | Mexico MTC, Here I Come!


Elder Shoaee with Elder Ballard and Elder Harris, traveled from Salt Lake City, to Phoenix, to Mexico City. They arrived at the Benito Juárez International Airport at 3:24 PM today.

At the beginning of their service, LDS missionaries usually spend 3–12 weeks at an MTC where they receive training in doctrine, conduct, proselytizing methods, and, when required, a foreign language as in Jordan's case.

Currently, there are 83,035 missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints who serve in 405 missions. There are a total of 15 MTCs in nations throughout the world, in locations in addition to Provo, including ArgentinaBrazilChileColombia, the Dominican RepublicGhanaGuatemalaMexicoNew ZealandPeru, the PhilippinesSouth AfricaSpain, and the United Kingdom.
