Day #550 | Week #78: New Area

El Ocotillo, Cortés, Honduras

This week was pretty cool. I was transferred to a new area to a town called El Ocotillo. We are about 20 minutes away from San Pedro Sula.

My new companion is Elder Ortiz from Ecuador. He is pretty funny.

There is a huge ward and a ton of members here. I am still trying to get to know the area and the members. We also have a few investigators with baptismal dates. Hopefully all will go well.

Day #543 | Week #77: Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

I am being transferred out of Choloma after being there for 9 months. I do not know where I'll be transferred to yet, but where ever it is, it will probably my last area as I only have 4 changes left. I am basically packed and I have to leave the house around 6:00.

We worked a lot with members this week trying to activate everyone. We also where working with some new people that we found.

This area has been a little difficult, but we have activated a lot of people and we are close to baptizing a few others.

Week #76

This week was a little difficult in the beginning of the week, because a lot of our appointments fell through and we lost a few of our investigators. We decided to change our plan and make more specific goals on what we want to do with the area and how we are going to do it. After we did that, things worked out a lot better and we had good success.

We had a good church attendance on Sunday. It was almost twice as many people as last week. Most of all, one of our investigators, Karla, showed up at church even though we didn't have a chance to visit her this week.

I think this might be my last week here in the Jutosa, but we'll see.

Day #530 | Week #75

These past couple of weeks have been really hard for us, but this week was a very spiritual week! We were able to get a baptismal date (01/23/2016) with a referral named Karla. She is super awesome and really interested in the Book of Mormon and our religion.

Also we taught this one guy who's name is George. We were teaching him about prophets and Joseph Smith. Even before we started teaching him the spirit filled the room and everyone was super quiet. It was great! I know he felt something different. Also my companion and I finished painting our house. The owners asked us to paint it so we helped them.

We played basketball and soccer today it was super fun, but hot. Also, I think I will be transferred out of this area in two weeks.
